Whether you prefer the quiet craft of writing or the lively energy of group dialogue, you can play a meaningful role in bringing philosophy to the world. We currently invite contributors in two areas:
Writers of our “My Life” texts
Facilitators for our philosophical cafés and workshops
Choose the path that fits your strengths — or apply for both.
If you thrive in conversation, enjoy guiding discovery, or love seeing a room light up with ideas, our workshop team may be the perfect place for you.
Our philosophical cafés and workshops bring people together to think, wonder, and explore life’s big questions through shared dialogue. See our catalogue of example workshops here
A note before you join
Because WiseThinking is still in beta and building toward sustainability, our workshop roles are currently volunteer positions.
However facilitators play an essential part in helping us grow — shaping formats, trying new ideas, and co-creating the foundation that will support future paid opportunities. Become part of conceptualising what a WiseThinking workshop is.
What you gain as a facilitator
Lead meaningful conversations
You will guide groups through structured philosophical dialogues that spark curiosity and reflection. It’s an opportunity to help people think more clearly and connect more deeply.Build strong facilitation and communication skills
Leading philosophical workshops strengthens your ability to ask good questions, create safe spaces for dialogue, and navigate group thinking — valuable skills across leadership, education, consulting, and community work.Inspire real-world impact
Your sessions help participants develop critical thinking, empathy, and reflective habits. You become part of making philosophy a living, shared experience.Connect with a supportive community
You’ll join a team of engaged facilitators who share methods, exchange ideas, and co-develop new workshop formats. It’s a place for creativity, growth, and collaboration.
If you enjoy energizing conversations and helping people explore ideas together, we would be thrilled to welcome you to our facilitator team.
Our My Life texts are 1.5-page narrative portraits of history’s great thinkers — written as if the philosophers themselves were speaking. These texts are introductions to the thinkers that help learners get a grasp on who the thinker was. They are also used as the underlying storytelling for our introductory videos such as this one about Immanuel Kant, implemented on his page here.
A note before you join
WiseThinking is a young startup currently in beta. That means we’re still building, refining, and growing our platform — and at this stage we are not yet able to offer paid positions. All writing contributions are thus voluntary.
What you gain as a writer
Share your work with the world
Your texts will be published on WiseThinking with your name featured as the author. Over time, your contributions can form a rich writing portfolio — perfect for your CV, your website, or your LinkedIn profile.
Deepen your philosophical understanding
Writing a My Life piece challenges you to step inside a philosopher’s mind and voice. You’ll practice academic research, interpretation, and storytelling — and perhaps uncover new perspectives that stay with you long after the writing is done.
Join a vibrant community
You become part of a network of philosophy enthusiasts — students, graduates, professionals, and organizations — where you can exchange insights, collaborate, and find inspiration.Strengthen your communication craft
Turning complex ideas into clear, engaging stories is a rare skill. Here, you’ll develop it in a supportive environment — a valuable asset in education, culture, and professional communication.
We would be excited to collaborate on your work — and to share it with our many of curious readers as we scale globally.
